On tap at Protokoll, Berlin, shared with Schieder and Fates11. Clear amber, small head. Intensely smokey, unmistakably smoked ham, light malts underneath. Bready flavour with nice smoked ham notes. Medium body, very soft and gentle, soft carbonation. Light finish.

0.5L bottle pours out amber topped with a small sand head. Nose is great smoked meat roast malts and some grain. Taste is more of the nice smoke forward notes meat grain and some caramel touch.

Im Glas steht ein rotorangefarbener klarer Kupferton. Die weiße, feinporige Schaumkrone gibt sich wässerig-flaumig und hält mäßig gut. Der Duft überzeugt bereits mit kräftigen, rauchig-selchigen Noten, die in einem die Fleischeslust wecken. Der Antrunk kommt sehr frisch, angenehm spritzig und selbstverständlich kräftig rauchig mit Noten, die an einen Smoker, Selchfleisch und Speck erinnern. Am Gaumen wirken die rauchigen Noten etwas weniger kräftig und lassen leicht süßliche, malzige, honigartige bis zart fruchtige Noten durch. Eine leichte Hopfenherbe aus dem Hingergrund kann man ebenso vernehmen. Diese fügt sich dabei sehr gut und harmonisch in die rauchigen Malzkomponenten ein, sodass sich ein wunderbares Gesamtbild ergibt. Mundgefühl und Süffigkeit muss man bei diesem Bier übrigens als sehr gut bezeichnen. Im Nachtrunk kommen die rauchig-selchigen Noten wieder stärker auf und weichen ganz langsam einer leicht trockenen Hopfenherbe, die aber sofort wieder zum nächsten Schluck anregt! Fazit: Der Inbegriff eines Bamberger Rauchbieres - mehr gibt es dazu eigentlich gar nicht zu sagen.

Tap at Pikkulintu Ruttopuisto, Helsinki. Color is clear orange with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Smoke, grain, malts... nice drinkability.

Tap at HopDog. Dark copper chestnut. Light smoke. Soft, light, roasted, smoke. This is so soft and light. All beer should be like this.
