American hops dominate this Rye IPA, creating an assertive citrus and passion fruit character. An old-world flavor from rye malt adds the perfect compliment to Goose Juice’s big, satisfying hop flavor and aroma. Originally home-brewed by our beloved brewer Goose, its wonderful combination of flavors inspired us to brew this specialty IPA.

So Draught 55 a bar i frequent has a once a month baby brunch in back room so took wife and sone for food, kids music, and I had some brew perfect. This is hazy orange pour nose of tropical fruit and rye. Tastes of rye, perfume, pine, grapefruit, dusty hops, light caramel, and honey. Decent mouthfeel tasty brew but lacks some punch of excitement.

Tap@Taphouse, CPH (16/11/2014) - amber pour with off-white head. Fruity and medium sweet malty aroma and taste, caramel malts, toffee, some pine needles, herbal twiggy hop bite in the finish. Nice.

bottle from ølbutikken. clear orange, small smooth offwhite to orange head. fresh hoppy aroma, flowery notes, bitter hoppy notes, very nice hops. a little bit fruity note too. good flavor, malty, exotic fruity, texture is oily, nice ipa with some punch both from hops, malts and alc. slightly on the sweet side, liekly from the rye malts. bordering a double ipa in intenseness.

Another great beer from Hoppin Frog. Hoppy, fruity and spicey IPA, with a nice feel of rye and a tasty extra flavor of the citrus.

Pours deep amber into a tulip. White head with little retention recedes to hug rim leaving spot lacing. Caramel and resin aromas. Thick with dark pumpernickel and caramel upfront turning to bitter earth and resin in the lasting finish.

Tap @ Beer Temple (taster size). Orange/light amber color, rather clear. Off white creamy head. Aroma’s: resin, citrus, herbal hops, light maltiness. Rye (caramel) comes through retronasal with much less resin, herbs, light acidity. Flavor is moderate sweet (caramellsih, clearly rye), moderate bitter. Medium bodied. Finishes herbal/flowery and lasting bitter. Nice!

On tap at Torst. Pours a cloudy orange with small frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is strong rye, fruity hop, and citrus. Medium mouthfeel with nice fruity hop, citrus, light bitterness. Very good.

Bottled @ ZZT 9, small sample. Bit hazy amber color, short frothy white head. Aroma of pine, bit grapefruit, bit grainy. Medium bitter in taste. More based on rye than IPA. Not as hoppy as I had expected, but still a very nice drinker.
