Brown Ale with Coffee Brewed For: Pairing The Two Best Things.

Refreshing like an iced coffee, aromatic like a bag of freshly roasted beans, and satisfying like your favorite beer.

Guatemalan coffee, roasted locally, is added to our house oatmeal brown ale. Cold press coffee aromatics and intense coffee flavors are balanced by the oats in the malt bill, resulting in a cappuccino-like creaminess.

Dark brown with lasting head. Aroma and flavour have a certain coffee note but strangely not with a roasted note. More like a coffee flavoured piece of chocolate. Perhaps due to an underlying sweetness from the base Brown Ale.

Dark brown with a creamy, beige head. Aroma full of roasted coffee grounds. Taste is roasted, mildly bitter throughout, full of coffee the whole way through. Finishes the same. Medium-bodied, slightly watery texture. Can’t define the brown ale underneath what is essentially a coffee drink. One-dimensional.

On tap at Tapped, Maplewood. Appearance is clear dark brown with no sparkle, finger width beige head with good retention and trace lacing. Aroma is bittersweet roasted earthy malt and coffee. Taste is coffee and earthy roasted malt and euro hops. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with smooth texture soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall decent aroma and flavor but not decadent. Good. 4,7,8,4,15,3.8

First one two sips were a bit weak coffee flavour, though rounds out nicely. Thanks NFB! Pic from my goalie.

Black body with almost no head. Coffee aroma. Coffee taste balanced by malt. I think I taste some slight bitterness with the coffee and malt in the finish

16oz can clear deep dark brown. Thin light tan head. Very nice soft roasted coffee aromas. Mellow and soft but full coffee flavors. A touch of sweetness, no harsh roast coffee bitterness. A few notes of chocolate. Just delicious.
