Brown Ale with Coffee Brewed For: Pairing The Two Best Things.

Refreshing like an iced coffee, aromatic like a bag of freshly roasted beans, and satisfying like your favorite beer.

Guatemalan coffee, roasted locally, is added to our house oatmeal brown ale. Cold press coffee aromatics and intense coffee flavors are balanced by the oats in the malt bill, resulting in a cappuccino-like creaminess.

9/I/15 - 1Pt. can @ home - BB: n/a, canned: IX/26/14 (2015-21) Thanks to sebletitje for sharing the can!

Clear purple brown beer, creamy beige irregular head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots and lots of coffee, roasted, no, just coffee. MF: soft carbon, medium body, smooth creamy texture. Taste: lots and lots of coffee, more coffee, soft bitterness, cocoa powder. Aftertaste: lots of coffee, dark chocolate, more coffee still... Not my cup of tea. :p

Can from De Bierkoning, cheers Potje! Dark brown colour, dense beige head. Aroma of coffee and chocolate, espresso, just light fruity. Flavour is sweet, caramel, coffee, espresso, chocolate, coffee and hoppy bitter finish with a little chocolate. Light-bodied, oily mouthfeel. Nice.

Can from Mikkeller and Friends, Copenhagen. Dark brown pour with a beige head. Unsurprisingly lots of coffee in the aroma, splash of chocolate and vanilla in there too. Smoky coffee flavours with a hint of raisin. I could easily have one of these late at night with a bourbon biscuit or a chunk of plain/dark chocolate. Nice.

Hazy brown body with a medium off-white head. Loads of coffee with some smokiness in it. Sweet caramel malt. Almost like iced coffee or something similar. Very interesting and very good.

Sampled @ CBC 2014. Very dark red-brown color with a nice dark red glare coming through. Medium sized beige head. Overpowering aroma of coffee, mocha and espresso. Taste malts, dark malts, again strongly coffee, mocha and espresso and nicely bitter. Very heavy aroma, but more balanced flavorwise imo.

Can (canned 1/6/14) poured into a nonic pint glass. Pours a dark brown almost black color with half an inch of light tan head. Big coffee on the aroma, bits of dark chocolate. Tasting notes of big roasty and burnt coffee, dark chocolate, caramel. Very coffee forward on the aroma and taste, coffee flavors dominate. Thin mouthfeel. Medium carbonation and body with a semi-dry finish. Pretty easy drinker for coffee lovers.

thnx to Belgbeergeek Pours almost black , good fast fading white head . Smell is pure cold coffee, and so is the taste . Bitter, indeed , and I can find some stuff in there I might like, but the cold-coffee factor ruins it all for me ...
