On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy, straw color, with a big, foamy, white head. The aroma is orange peel, butterscotch, hay, biscuit, and green banana. Sweet and nicely estery, with a musty, mellow bitterness. Light to medium body, chewy, and crisp. Smooth, yeasty, and interesting.

Tap at the Brewpub in Vienna, 15th March 2023. Pours a hazy orange, nice white head. Aroma is yeast, aromatic, spice and banana. Taste is yeasty, straw and grass, bitter and spice, clove and banana. It’s a good Hefeweizen for sure

Eines der regulären Biere im 1516, das ich bislang aufgrund interessanterer Saison-Biere nicht gekostet habe. Jetzt weiß ich auch warum. Neben den bayrischen Klassikern als auch Industriebieren fehlt es mir an Fruchtigkeit und Hefe. Dazu hat es einen komisch säuerlichen Nachtrunk, der den positiven Mittelteil ertränkt. Da bleibe ich bei den amerikanischen Bietstilen des Hauses.

Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy, pale gold colored. AROMA- yeasty, clove, touch of banana, wheat, vanilla. FLAVOR- just slightly sweet, slightly bitter, clove, yeast, wheat. Medium bodied. Good.
