Black with a good sized tan head.
Nose is lightly oxidised, spice, herb, stewed fruits, dark malts.
Taste comprises tangy fruits, charr, booze tunes, toffee, fruit rinds, meaty.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a kiss of alcohol.
Showing its age but not a disaster by any means.

A bottle that has been in the cellar for a decade maybe. Semi opaque dark brown beer, a decent bubbly tan head that dies quickly. A pretty light palate all things considered. Slightly earthy darkish malts, touches of dark chocolate and malt cream. Blackcurrant punches through and turns this into a sharply tart affair. Light finish. It's kinda of one note affair. Not awful by any means but, for me, an experiment that hasn't really been a winning one

500ml bottle from somewhere in the Netherlands I believe and at least 10 years old. Poured a murky dark brown colour with little life. The aroma is roasted malt, red berry fruits. The flavour is light sour, with a roasty, tart blackcurrant, dry oaky palate. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation. Not bad for an aged beer, but I suspect that it might have tasted better when it was fresh.

Bottle. Deep dark brown color, opague. Roast, malt, chocolate, coffee and red fruit in the aroma. Malty sweet but also sour flavor with lemon, red fruit, lots of coffee and grapefruit. Alcohol mostly hidden by the malty roasty sweetness and the sourness. Pleasant enough, but the sour notes ruin the balance.

Tap at Beer Hunters. Opaque colour, no head. Strong alcoholic black currant juice nose. Also a bit lactic. Full-bodied. Lots of black currant, lactose, some alcohol. Black currant juice dominates. Strong.

At a tasting, many thanks, small beige bubbly head, opaque very dark brown color, aroma of bourbon oak, vanila, chocolate and some blackcurrant behind, chocolate and vanila flavor with lots of blackcurrants, strong almost piercing sourness but becoming mellow and balanced in time. Highly enjoyable.

Black with a brown head - Dark malt aroma with som berry notes - Dark malt body with berries and some hints of bitterness - The dark malt and berries goes into the finish with some warmth from alcohol - This was nice
