Friekens Tuin is rightly called a Garden Ale, with hop from the Friekens garden. It's a light copper ale with a subtle smokey touch and a wild hop aroma. Brewed with Pale, Cara and Oak smoked malt. Bittered with Northern Brewer and Brewer's Gold in the whirlpool.

Deep amber brown colour, fair frothy beige head, good retention and lacing. Aroma roasted malt, caramel, berries. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, caramel, citrus. Medium body, watery to oily texture, sweetbitter aftertaste, woody notes, bit coarse, okay.

Draught @ In de Wildeman Aroma is mild with toffee, caramel and some roastiness. Flavour has coffee, some caramel, hayish and harsh malt and toffee. Mild bitterness in the finish. Pleasant and quite good for this ABV.

33cl Bottle from Stroop. Brown colour, beige head. Aroma of nuts, light cocoa, hint of mocha. Flavour follows, light yeasty, watery. Not bad but lacks body.

Draught @ Planet Oedipus. Amber to brown color. Small almost white head with a bit of lacing. Aroma's: grain, light fruity. Retronasal: red fruit, light sweet. Flavor: light bitter. Light bodied. Light moderate bitter finish.

Tap at Planet Oedipus 2018. Hazy dark amber with white head. Sweet malts, grainy and light fruity. Leathery and dry. Moderate sweet and more bitter. Medium body and soft carbonation.

7 3 7 3 14Draft at Wild West Brew Fest ‘18, Amsterdam. Hazy brown with a small off white head. Aroma of malt, toast, caramel and bready notes with a touch of herbs. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation.
