An Imperial Blonde Ale or Blonde Barley Wine; Helldorado has the lightest color of any of the beers in our barrel program but carries a great deal of interesting barrel character: vanilla, light char and amazing lavender-honey notes. Rich boozy honey liqueur character and loads of smooth sweet toasted malt to finish. The El Dorado hops dance in the background without playing a dominant role in the flavor profile. This beer gets better and better the longer it is in barrel.

Nice slightly bubbly-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet boozy, caramel malts, nuts, fruit stones, dried fruits, minerals, alcohol, candi sugar, grain, paper, almonds, bark, toffee, butterscotch. Taste is slightly sweet mineraly, caramel malts, minerals, hay, nuts, toffee, alcohol, dried fruits, grain, fruit stones, almonds, candi sugar, butterscotch. Medium bitterness, slightly dry boozy mouthfeel. Nice.

Klar, mörk bärnstensfärg. Litet skum. Maltig honungsdoft med mycket alkohol. Smaken är väldigt söt och väldigt spritig.

Flaska från SB, vintage 2017. Klar, kopparfärgad med lätt smutsvitt skum som lämnar små gardiner längs sidorna. Fantastisk doft med stora och massiva toner av kolaremmar, mörkt torkad frukt, kandisocker, knäck, honungskaka och fruktstänger ackompanjerat av bourbon, vanilj och kokos. Nötigt och kakigt. Stor kropp som förväntat. Inte riktigt så massiv eller klibbig som den skulle kunnat vara. Viss fatkaraktär. Alkoholen värmer på en aning och det finns en lite bitter ton som kanske stör en aning. I smaken mycket som i doften med stor maltsötma och sockersöta inslag. Lite tanniner, bourbon och ek. Lätt blommig och kryddig. En gnutta obalanserad smakmässigt, men fortfarande hög nivå.

A bit too boozy for my mood. I prefer a less harsh barleywine, I reckon. Still, I'm impressed with how much is going on here.

Aromas are mainly pale malt cookie dough perfume. Flavors are like nose sweetness dominates bitterness is on the back end. Great body a little boozy at the end of the Finish. Very nice beer. Obviously couldn't drink a lot of this though.

Pours deep sedimented gold into a tulip. White head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Vanilla and toffee aromas. Medium bodied with sweet caramel, honey and vanilla upfront turning to hot earthy resin in the warming finish.
