Sampled at RBSG. From notes. Loads of chocolate dominate. Vanilla, and Roasty malt back it up.

Bottle - Cocoa, mollasses, chocolate and some anise. Jet black with a thin beige head. Sweet, peat, coffee, chocolate and so much more. Smells good, tastes great.

Bottle RBSG. Grand Tasting St. Louis. Huge thanks to RobertDale. Pours black with brown head. Nose/taste of roast and milk chocolate, oak, milk chocolate, sherry and chocolate liqueur. Full bodied.

Bottle with hella thanks to MrH for spearing this whale and sending it to America! Pours opaque black with a small dark brown head that dissipates fairly quickly leaving some lacing. Aroma is heavy duty chocolate, roasted malts, vanilla. Flavor is all of that plus some molasses and anise, tons of vanilla and chocolate. Very sweet, light bitter. Full body, creamy mouthfeel, very little sign of the massive ABV. More of a desert liquor than a beer really, but nice nonetheless.

Bottle @ RBSG Grand Tasting. Pours a black appearance with a brown head. Licorice, dark chocolate, plum, fig aroma. A bit goopy and sweet but fucking delicious, spicy, cinnamon / nutmeg, brown sugar, caramel, fig flavor. Lots of spiciness. Great beer.

Woodshed 3.0! Sample courtesy of BOLTZ7555, hot damn, thanks Jason. I have been wanting to try this since… years and years. Bottle pours with a dark mahogany looking body that supports a thin tan head. The modest aroma offers up chocolate, molasses, mild dark roasted maltiness, a slight burnt malt note and then more and more chocolate mixed with marshmallows. Aroma seems timid but pretty nice. The taste however isn’t timid and doesn’t mess around. I get smooth sweet residual sugar notes, smooth sweetened dark roasted malts, chocolate fudge brownie, rich nectar like chocolate goodness and molasses sweetened rich yummy coffee. Wow! This flavor is MONEY! This ends with me only wanting more as I get smooth slowing fading chocolate and nectar like residual burnt sugars with very little sense of the massive ABV. Goodness.

375 ml bottle thanks to Adam. 2013 vintage. Aroma is brunt molasses, sugar, brownie batter and a hint of vanilla. Kind of like a brownie dipped in alcohol. A swirl in the snifter shows a real oily film around the glass.

Body is thick with a texture of whipped cake batter yet with the above mentioned oily viscosity. Dark roasted chocolate, burnt espresso bean, light old vanilla and prunes with some notes of pumpernickel bread. Full body and even with the huge ABV it is still rather easy to drink. Massive Impy stout that will slap you in the face and you will ask for more. Pretty impressive.
