Real raspberries abound in this chocolate caramel after dinner treat. Aged for a smooth texture and drinkability. This lager beer will handle additional age very well.

2007 bottle thanks to Daniel. Pours a cloudy brown ruby with no head. The aroma is strong raspberry candy, tomato, and oak. Thin mouthfeel with strong acidic raspberry, tart, and very sweet finish. Very good.

Acquired in a trade, enjoyed with a friend which was probably a mistake. 2012 vintage should be shared 3 ways...very boozy.

A - Pours a translucent blood red to purple color. Very little head and fades fast.

S - Nose is loaded with bright fruitiness. Smells like a mix of Serendipity and Raspberry Tart from New Glarus.

T - It’s really hard to get beyond the medicinal qualities of this. Cough syrup, throat drops and goose. But there was a lot of fruit like a salad with a ton of cherry, raspberry and apple.

M - Thin, crisp and tart.

O - This is a very good beer but 2-3 ounces is more than enough.

2012 Bottle. Huge raspberry nose, chocolate, pop tarts. Very impressive. Deep crimson, head immediately goes to lace. Big, sweet, raspberry, smooth and lovely. No alcohol presence, really. A bit tingly. Bitter finish. Very smooth and silky body with tight, prickly carbonation. Lovely. Delicious stuff. Lovely flavors last forever. Wonderful.

Tap at Blind Tiger’s VSK night although been popping up all over city as of late. Pours bloody chocolate color. Nose is thick raspberry syrup and dark chocolate. If you have ever had a Godiva raspberry chocolate bar this tastes exactly like this blended up and mixed with cherry cough syrup and grain alcohol but all in a nice way. Its a bit too sweet and thick on palate for me but overall very tasty

2012 Vintage. Thick red wax. Bottle shared by Kraddel @ "I cannot believe that you brought your own beer to a beer festival" @ Modeste 2013. 375 ml. bottle sampled. Dark bright raspberry rhubar, bordeaux, basically no head. Nose is pure raspberry frangipane, raspberry jam cookies, huge, pure jam, very sweet in a good way, pure sugar, once again in a good way,... Warming raspberry cookie taste, caramel, very sweet, white sugar, lots in a very enjoyable way, warming, caramel, thick toffee, hint caramel, biscuite, warming, not boozy, hint chocolate chip cookie, pretty big, hard to do the bottle, syrup, grenadine in a good way. Syrupy body. Very warming. Extremely expensive, nice for a small taster but not repeat drinking. Very candy, desert-like. Extreme & interesting + highly memorable but too expensive experience.

(Draught at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 26 July 2013) Dark red colour with brief head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of raspberries, vanilla and treacle. Fruity, malty taste with raspberries, caramel, vanilla, candy sugar and a sweet finish with a slight raspberry tartness. Full body, quite thick and oily. Very sweet and slightly sticky. It’s thick, sweet and dominated by raspberries. So it’s not the most complex or subtly balanced. But it’s still quite lovely.
