Keg at Fox River House, 8/17/22. Near black, thin brown head, poor retention. Aroma of clove, cinnamon, ginger, vanilla, roast. Taste is roast, pumpkin, pumpkin spice. Full bodied, booze well hidden. Nice.

Bottle. Blackish pour with a small tan head that soon recedes to a fine scum. The aroma is medium in strength with pumpkin, gourd fruits, dark chocolate, and mild spices. The taste is more pumpkin with deftly applied spices, dark chocolates and some caramel. There is an underlying walnut type of bitterness. The palate is full and viscous. Finishes long with lingering spices (mostly allspice). Overall: Decent pumpkin brew, best I can remember.

24 September 2022. At Prairie, Oklahoma City. Shared with the lovely Anke!
Hazy black, stable, foamy, beige head. Aroma of cinnamon, clove, pumpkin, chocolate cake, café latte. Taste has sweet date & prune in a chocolatey malt body with lots of spiciness. Herbal hoppy finish has spiced chocolate cake, touch of coffee roast and warming coffee liqueur-like alcohol. Full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Quite a delight.

Sample at the Flight Center Manchester. Solid black color with a frothy tan head that persists. Roasty earthy oaky with an onslaught of pie spices. Not too bad for a pumpkin beer.

Basic Becky in a 12 oz bottle was bought at The Cellar in Odessa earlier this year. I have out a snifter from Buffalo Bayou for this tasting, the cap is lifted and I pour. The liquid arrives as dark a brown as you can get this side of black with a practically nonexistent head. The scent is led by spices, the rest is mostly covered up. And the taste is definitely an improvement, bakers chocolate, cinnamon, nutmeg and sorghum. Rather sweet with a moderately high alcohol content, certainly a sipper. Enjoyable but not the brewer's best.

Bottle. A- Nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice, mild cocoa. A- Black color, black liquid, fizzy brown head. T- Worcestershire sauce, nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice, pumpkin. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, spiced finish. O- Literally chunky when poured. Splashed everywhere. Really good despite that initial first impression. Very spice forward but blended well. Pumpkin is there but in the background. Pretty solid brew.

Bottle. Pours black with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is full of cinnamon and nutmeg with some clove, dark grains and a hint of caraway supporting. Flavor is very spice heavy with cinnamon, nutmeg and clove with a touch of sweet dark grains and pumpkin spice backing. Overly spiced.
