It’s TRUE, this German Kölsch-style ale is a crisp, light and unfussy beer that makes enjoying food and friends just a little more underbar. Prost!

Reviewed from notes.
Can to stange glass.
Appearance: clear yellow color with a two finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: light floral to earthy hops with a clean biscuity malt base
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a rolling sweet malty quality; finishes crisp and floral and malty
Texture: light bodied, sessionable and smooth along the tongue
Overall: I say a nicely done Kolsch worthy of coming back to.

Can from Beer Republic. Aroma is grainy malt, some hay and a touch of honey. Citrussy notes, lightly bready, noble hop. Flavour is light sweet with a fine bitterness. Light to medium body. Crisp, refreshing, very nice.

Solid Kölsch, offering up bright and crisp grainy notes laced with toasted bread, followed by undertones of apple and lemon, leading to a mild floral bitterness on the back end with a hint of salinity. Very easy to make a can disappear. Nice.

Pure crisp and clear yellow coloured body with a thick, pure white head that stays afloat nicely, at least for a few minutes. Light to Medium-bodied; Very strong grassy and herbal notes dominate with a lot of pungency and crisp malt and yeast notes show with some light lemons and citrus fruits with a touch of pine here as well from the alpha acids of the hops. Light to barely Medium-bodied; Strong grassy and perfumey characteristics up front with a lot of hay and flowers right up front without much sweetness or hops at all - this really is about the clean and grassy malts with only a sliver of yeast. Aftertaste shows some herbal and grassy notes along with a slight hit of lemons and citrus fruits without too much else, but clean-drinking throughout. Overall, a nice and grassy, herbal and very fresh beer that hits nicely throughout with a slight perfumey characteristic and a dry finish from the malts without much else, but fairly easy-drinking throughout. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Trader Joe's in Fairfield, California on 07-March-2022 for US$2,75 sampled a day later in my hotel room here in [downtown] San Francisco, California on 08-March-2022.

Teku showing pale gold with a finger of clean white foam. The nose shows clean moderately intense notes of banana and bubblegum. The palate is well carbonated and light bodied. Carbonation is high similar to a saison. Clean bright flavors of bread and light banana with a very mild crisp bitterness on the finish. Standard but clean and nice.

Can from Yamaoka. Pours a bright, clear, pale gold with lots of effervescence and a tall, fine head. Clean, dry malts, slightly creamy, lemony hops. Dry and bitter on the one hand, possible a touch of diacetyl too, which together with the carafoam and Vienna malts gives it a slight toffee-like taste. That isn't big, so not a huge problem, but... Finish is clean and bitter, which is nice. TRUE Kolsch? Hmmmm.

Clear yellow body with white head. Light bready aroma. Malty taste with a tiny bit of hop tang in the finish. Crisp and clean. Good on a hot day.

I was in the mood for something light and clean, this fit the bill: Almanac True Kolsch 5% Crystal clear gold with a nice topping of foam and a herbal hop bouquet. Medium bodied but crisp. The soft hoppy character is subtle and let’s the grain shine. Really tasty.

Da der Karneval dieses Jahr ausfällt, passend zum Beginn ein feines Kölsch. In der Nase fast schon fruchtig, im Trunk herrlich crispy, Getreide, leichte Frucht, dann schnell und heftig bitter-süß. Lecker.
