Sample at Urban Artifact during The Extinction Event: Natural Wine & Spontaneous Beer Fest on 09/28/2019. Clear ruby-violet color with a medium pinkish-white head that burns away steadily to a film. Short strings of lace. Aroma of berries, yeast, oak and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of tart blackberry, oak, mildly funky yeast and biscuit malt. The finish is tart with a lingering blackberry aftertaste. Good beer all around.

Awesome. Tart/tangy blackberry/skin/seed/lemon/currant/grape/wine/oak/cheese/leather/musty/vinegar/funk. Fairly sour/crisp/drying. No pucker/astringent. Well rounded jammy fruit/gueuze complexity.

Nicely balanced, tart but not overly so

Draft at Craft Brewed. Pours a clearish ruby purple color with a small off-white head with pinkish highlights. Lovely blackberry forward nose with wet hay, funk and lemon zest aromas. Not overly acidic on the palate. Lots of blackberry seed and skin with more of the flesh coming out as it warms. Bright lemon and blackberry towards the finish with some light blackberry leaf, oak and seed on the finish.
