Okay, here is my version of a Pale Ale that has a few hops in it like Columbus, Cascade, Summit & Centennial. Probably the best pale that has ever been made in the history of mankind.

Pour is a cloudy orange with a large white head. Aroma is a very sweet citrus hop. Flavor is a more mild but still there hop. Finish is dry with a just there hop and a chalky malt. Decent pale ale with a above average fresh hop but not an over bitterness.

750. Pours a hazy orangish amber with a fairly dense head. Aromas have a bit of an off edge to them, but finish in soapy citrus. Not sure what the off smell is... kind of hard to describe. Flavor is pretty middle of the road. Honey and orange blossom with a zingy carbonation. It’s a decent APA, but not a great one. I hoped for so much more.

On tap at Bailey’s. Pours a clear gold with a slight orange hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a nice sweet citrus with a light fruit note and a sweet grain backbone. Flavor has same sweet citrus with a bit more bitterness and light fruit as well as sweet grain backing.

750 ml bottle purchased at Royal Liquors in Kansas City, Missouri. 9/13 date sticker on the bottom of the bottle. Wish I had noticed that at the store. The pour is a hazed orange golden with an off white head. The aroma is faded mineral grass hops along with toasted malt. The taste is grassy earth hop along with the toasted malt. The hop character is faded and muted. The palate is medium bodied with the mineral grass after taste. Solid, though I definitely need to try this fresher.

Bottle in Vail, courtesy of jcnielsen. Thanks bro! Pours a murky bright orange appearance with a foamy white head. Some citrusy, soapy/floral hoppy, slight bready aroma. Slightly sweet, orange, honey, soapy flavor that finishes somewhat bitter. Ok.

Capped 750 from Wine & Cheese in Clayton, Mo. Pours hazy copper with a 3 finger creamy off-white head. Aroma (thru all that head) seems citrus and floral. Med body or better. Flavor is pretty darn hoppy, and the mild roast malt is almost annihilated. I’m voting now for flora and citrus flavor. Might be a touch of pine. Probably is. Nice stuff. And my face didn’t melt off. Lots of hop in a pale ale is the way to go. Finishes dry and bitter.
