Draft at Craft Brewed. Pours a clear honey gold with a finger of foam that dissipates. Belgian yeast forward nose with some banana and clove aromas that stand out. Some light candi sugar on the nose and palate as well. Body is a touch thin and feels light compared to most tripels. Still for being labeled a tripel, the flavors are very close just lacking in depth and body. Watery finish with some more yeasty esters and lingering clove.

Okay, but a bit sweet for a golden ale, heavy with the honey and leaning into hefe territory because of it. Slight apple esters add some depth, but the sweetness grows cloy as it warms, leading to a somewhat saccharine, bitter fade. Great name, mediocre beer.
