Slightly Cloudy golden color. Biscuity nose with some tropical fruits. Very dry. Thin body. Modest bitterness. Much more towards a session IPA than an IPA even though it’s 5.1%. There are other 5%+ beers with a lot more body. It’s fairly approachable. I drank in Okinawa after a hot day on the water and it was the type of IPA I was looking for so rating might be a tad higher in a different situation.

Can from Mitsuya. Light grassy hops with some pine and grapefruit notes. Medium to thin body with average carbonation. Feels light compared to most IPAs (probably the low abv). Spiky, bitter finish with lots of pine. Pretty one-dimensional basic IPA. Feels more northwest than San Diego. --- Beer merged from original tick of IPA on 13 Mar 2016 at 17:32 - Score: 6. Original review text: Kind of average, light bodied, strong piney bitterness.

Can from Bine & Vine. Pours gold with a white head. Mild resin/floral aroma. Med body. Flavor is resin/floral/mildly roasty malt. Sort of ESB plus? Decently bitter. Quite drinkable.

Can from Jiyugaoka AEON Liquors. Pours nice amber, quite clear and with a beautiful foam top. Aroma was already strong when I cracked the can open - and from the glass even more so. Nice citrusy American hops. Taste has strong oily resiny presence that is blending nicely with hops. Alcohol is low but flavours are there and not subdued as is the case often with session IPA’s. Good one and I guess they call it "benchmark" for a reason.

Poured up on tap at the brewery where it exhibits a deep gold body that supports a white head. The aroma offers up juicy mango pieces and some tangelo slices. The taste comes across juicy with tangelo and clementime citrus hop flavor that transforms into resiny pine and citrus hop bitterness. The more I drink the more the more resiny hops start to take over. Great flavor here.
