Intense & refined, Knowledge delivers notes of resinous pine, dank sap, pithy grapefruit, & ripe pineapple. Chewy hops, a zesty punch; this erudite Imperial India Pale Ale sharpens perceptive depths in the studious night.

Tight white head stayed on a hazy light orange, still body. Big hoppy aroma with citrus & sweet orange. Medium body. Very sharp on the tongue. Soft feeling on the back. Dry. This is full on hops - citrus, catpiss, onion, garlic & pine with very long bitter, hoppy finish.

Keg at Brewdog Shoreditch. A translucent golden orange coloured pour with a lasting thin white head. Aroma is sweet orange rind, straw, sweet Base malts, sticky orange juice. Flavour is composed of semi sweet Base malts, little caramel note, resinous pine and wood, orange rind,. Assertive slightly rough woody bitterness. Palate is medium bodied, sticky hop, moderate carbonation. Lingering dirty hop bitterness and some solvent alcohol.

Keg at BD Shoreditch, 18/05/17. Lightly hazed golden orange with a decent off white head. Nose is old school caramel malt forward, dusty hops, bitter orange, straw, grapefruit. Taste comprises orange pith, light pine dusting, grapefruit, caramel malts, toasted bread. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi aggressive hop bitterness in the close. Decent enough old skool DIPA Tom Foolery on offer here!

Brewdog Shoreditch. Keg. Hazy gold beer, good cream colour head. Palate is smooth, airy and semi dry. Decent fine minerally carbonation. Airy malts, light creamy sweetness. A spicy tangy mid moves into aniseed and good floral citrus. Touch of citric peel bitterness. Fresh orange and a touch of tequila like lime. Whisper of sherbet. Smooth piney fruity finish reveals a trace of skunk. Spicy bitter linger. Nice.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 3/8/2017. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy deep golden/amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of huge tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pine, honey, light caramel, biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Incredible aromas with fantastic complexity and balance of citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of huge tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, pine, honey, light caramel, biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus rind/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, mango, lemon/orange rind, pepper, pine, honey, biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance. Slight lingering hop astringency near the end of the glass, but not overwhelming. Moderate dryness from lingering bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, and bready/sticky/resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Minimal warming alcohol for 8.5%. Overall this is a fantastic DIPA! All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and easy to drink; despite the aggressively bitter/drying finish. Very bright, juicy, and dank hops; nice solid malt backbone that is never sweet or heavy. Great classic American IPA hop combo that comes together wonderfully. A highly enjoyable offering.
