Can from West Side. Pours a clear gold with a finger of foam. Light grainy nose with a clean and crisp finish. Crushable blonde with a touch of fruit mid-palate. Light minerally, dry finish. Simple but well-executed blonde.

24 oz can: Barely hazy, light yellow with a thick white head. Grain, honey-lemon aroma. Taste is light citrus, honey, grain malt. Crisp, lively.....not bad for the style..... Lawnmower-worthy, certainly....just a little bummed, though.....saw the big-ass can and thought NB had crafted a malt liquor.......

Pour is a clear golden with a large white head. Aroma is some grain and maybe some honey malt. Flavor is pretty much the same. A slight chewy grain with a little sweetness. Nothing really special but a good after work beer. Typical golden ale, grainy malt with a little bitterness.

22 oz. Can from HomeBrewStuff. Spot on golden ale, nothing too fancy about it. Bright medium golden body with fluffy head that fades to a ring. Aroma is bready and grainy, and sweet, honey. Taste also recalls white bread, crackers, biscuits. Very slick mouth feel, slides down your throat. Bready notes linger.

Bomber can from Whole Foods. Pours golden. Aroma is sour hay, burnt honey. Flavor is honey, hay, bread, little else. Bland.

12oz can. Medium bodied, leans into the honey malt tones more than I had anticipated, considering there is no mention of that on the label. Kind of sugary and sweet as opposed to clean and bitter. Still has a nice balance, and is indeed quite sessionable. OK.

Can from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours light gold with a foamy white head. Aroma is bready with a very little hop. Makes me think of Kolsch. Flavor is bready, rather sweet, and has barely noticeable hop. Sweet? Yes. Crisp? I think not.

Large can ( 710ml, etc, etc) on 31st Jan 2017: shared with my Son-in-Law while at his place in California. Golden pour, white head; very little aroma. I thought this bland and uninteresting: there is a line between ’subtle’ and bland, this crossed the line. A boring blend of not much with a slight malty leaning, sorry but that’s what I got. Expected more from a brewery I had thought highly of.

24 ounce can from Whole Foods MKE. Clear golden amber, large foamy white head, good retention. Aroma of bready pale malt,a bit of toastiness, earthy and herbal hops. The taste is grainy malt, corn, hay, toast, herbal hops. Medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness.
