16oz can pours a lightly hazy gold with some sticky, white head. Very grassy nose, fresh cut oranges, some pine, some soap, light candy notes. Flavor follows, bright orange, soap, fresh cut grass, some sharp parsnip, pine. Finishes dry, grassy. Nicely done.

Tall can. Cloudy yellow with a white meringue head. Pine and citrus aroma. The flavor has juicy grapefruit, about as bitter as drinking the juice. Light for a IIPA but at least it isn't a cloying mess.

Not sure if you should consider 7.5% an DIPA, especially one so insistent as Offbeat on its casual nature. Too casual, actually, with a hefty dose of Simcoe fruity dankness and Citra lemon-orange-grapefruit goodness, yet never developing much of a back end for these lovely hops to percolate and attack the palate. Grainy malts provide a basic, gentle biscuity base for the fruit to build upon, but Offbeat never really goes anywhere, fading into a bready, citrus-tinged fade lacking much-needed bitterness. Kinda feels like a strong argument for the "unfinished beer" stance against NEIPAs. Not a bad pint, just not a complete one, either.
