Black Belle is a limited special release Imperial Stout; it's a collaboration between Blackstone Brewing Company and Nelson's Green Brier Distillery, makers of Belle Meade Bourbon. Infused with Olive & Sinclair cacao nibs and aged for more than seven months in bourbon barrels, the beer is smooth and sweet, with definite notes of bourbon, oak, and dark chocolate.

Bottle thanks to Chow. Pours a very dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is strong roasted malt, wood, bourbon, cocoa. Thick mouth, similar flavors to nose, bitter roast finish, very good.

22oz bomber. Brown-black body. Glass-rimmign beige head. Creamy bourbon, but kind of mellowed out by the cacao nibs. Relatively mild. Sweet toffee caramel sugar notes. Kind of buttery. OK.

Bottle thanks to Andy. Pours black with a dark chocolate brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has strong bourbon and vanilla notes with bitter dark grains, chocolate and roasted malts underlying. Flavor has bitter chocolate and bitter dark grains up front with roasted malts supporting and a bit of bourbon in the finish.
