Every year we anxiously await the warmer months to unleash this Double IPA, the summer edition of our former YuleSmith seasonals. The flavor imparts orange, grapefruit, and tangerine hop notes with earthy, spicy, and resinous pine undertones. A sturdy malt backbone balances out the profound hop bitterness to create a refreshingly assertive and vibrant beer that offers an unapologetically bold expression of fresh American hops.

Wow, hop bomb! insane amounts of hops, but super juicy hops alos. Such a lovely wuenching beer. And very well balanced, one of the better DIPA’s out there.

Old bottle, aged almost a year. Aroma of tropical fruits, citrus, grapefruit, orange peel, malt, caramel, pine, floral notes, tea, hops. Flavour is moderate sweet with a long bitter finish. Thick and juicy. Massive DIPA. Hope to try a fresher bottle one day, it should be a lot better.

Bottle from 2007. Orange blonde color. Grapefruit, oily hops and red berries in the aroma. Very hoppy, leathery flavor with grapefruit and red berries, lingering on in the aftertaste. Pineapple. Dry out effect in the aftertaste. Fairly well balanced in spite of the huge hop character, and well matured.

Thin spotty head stayed on a hazy vivid light copper coloured still body. Pine, resin, pith & hoppy aroma. Medium bodied, sharp & minimally carbonated with a dull cloying finish. Bitter hoppy tasting with pine, pith, citrus, grapefruit & orange with tangy zesty back

Hazy blond colour with lasting head. Aroma and flavour have some light zesty elements like lime peel. Also lots of malt and body.
