Every year we anxiously await the warmer months to unleash this Double IPA, the summer edition of our former YuleSmith seasonals. The flavor imparts orange, grapefruit, and tangerine hop notes with earthy, spicy, and resinous pine undertones. A sturdy malt backbone balances out the profound hop bitterness to create a refreshingly assertive and vibrant beer that offers an unapologetically bold expression of fresh American hops.

Bottled 650ml. -from Za Popen’t Ljubljana. Unclear golden coloured, medium sized white to off-white head, sweet fruity hoppy nose. Moderate malty, caramel, quite fruity hoppy and slightly alcoholic with dry bitter sweet finish. Not so fresh version but still decent brew.

Woow jävligt fräsch Dipa doft. Enormt komplex. Hav Gräs Äng. Smaken då??? Jo Krämig medelfruktig marsipan . Jävligt god fy Faaan. Lättdrucken å mjuk fyllig efterbeska . Trotts det hypade betygen hos ölnördar Så måste jag säga De eller Vi har rätt.

Flaska från Craftbeer/Galatea. Nästan ett år gammal. Smak och doft av humle, kolaremmar, karamell, torkad frukt. Rund och len, lagom sötma, fin balans mellan smakerna, beska med smak av grapefrukt, citrussskal och toner av tall. Mycket gott!

Flaska från Craftbeer/Galatea. Nästan ett år gammal. Ändå väldigt bra även om humlen inte är på tårna. Istället får den rejäla maltkroppen mer fokus. Stora söta smaker av kolaremmar, karamell, apelsin, grape, tangerine, citrusmarmelad, karamellkok, kåda. Maffigt. Måttlig beska. Kanske är största problemet med åldern att beskan tonats ned och att det blir lite väl söt.

Bottle @ Shrewsbury Beer Share, Jan 15, courtesy of Simon or Paul. Pours hazy gold with white head. Lots of fruit reported with an amalgam of tropical fruit flavours lining up for duty. Exceptionally drinkable.

Bottle at tasting. Dark golden pour, white head. After popping the cap, a strong aroma of fruity hop and some malt fills the room. Delicious taste of bitter malt, some caramel, biscuit, pine, orange and grassy herbs. Not easy to drink, but very tasty.

Bottle, 650 ml from Whole Foods Bowery, New York. Pours unclear orange with off-white head. Strong fruit and citrus aroma. Caramel, tropical fruit, pine, citrus. Great fruity bitter finish. Balanced and refreshing.
