From tap at Café Marktzicht, Amersfoort. As "Oedipus Chai Bock". Aroma is very spicy and herbal, bitterkoekjes, speculaas, raisins, sweet malt, caramel. Flavour is sweet, cookies, speculaas. Body is medium. Too sweet and herbal spicy for my taste.

Bottle. Dark Brown color. Caramel, citrus and vegetable notes in the aroma. Caramelly sweetish flavor with notes of cola, vegetables. Citric, herbal. Way off. the beaten track.

Bottle @ RBBWG 2016. Many thanks! Very sweet nose, dark brown colour, hazy golden. Sweet and spicy, lots of cinamon and chai spices. Bit unbalanced.

Bottle from Bierwinkel Zeist, BB 06-2017, large sample. Almost clear copper color, medium frothy brown head. Aroma is quite spicy, nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, flowery, bit orange, speculaas, caramel. Bit sweet in taste, spicy speculaas, caramel. Finish is a bit dry and sharp spicy. Ok, but too much of a gimmick for me.

Sampled at RBBWG16 . Thnx for sharing ! Pours unclear , dark amber. Small white head. Smell is spiced, sweet, herbal. Taste is bit bitter, malty back. Sugary .

Bottle sample @ RBBWG 2016, thanks René. Ambrée, pas d ecol. Arôme est plaisant mais fort centré sur les épices, le tout sur un léger malté, caramel avec des effluves portant plus sur le Spéculoos ginger bread. Palais est épicés rappelant épices de Noël, cannelle, girofle, tamarin?, le tout finement malté grillé, Spéculoos avec un côté massala/chai qui reste plus en retrait.

Clear red brown beer, creamy small beige head, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: floral, urinal cakes, malty, ripe banana, sweet caramel. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: lots and lots of ripe banana., bit sweet, malty, sugary. Aftertaste: sweet, malty, lots of yeast, banana, sugary, some caramel, spicy. What the hell is that bitterbal doing on the label? :p
