Pitch black color. Off white head. Nice sweet nose with coffee and tiramisu with hazelnut nose. Really nice and rounded nose. Full body big fresh coffee notes with tons of tiramisu. So smooth and rounded .

Bottle courtesy of rlgk. Pours hazy dark hazel brown with a small frothy mocha head that leaves some sparse thick lacing on the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty with caramel, toffee, vanilla fudge, charred wood, milk chocolate, sweetened coffee, caramelized almonds, moist soil and bourbon alcohol. Taste sweet, bitter and malty. Mouthfeel is soft, round, slightly astringent, slightly boozy and medium to full bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with caramel, sweet dark bread, toffee, vanilla fudge, charred wood, dark chocolate, nescafé, moist soil and bourbon alcohol. Good but a bit unrefined at the moment. Glad I have a bottle cellared. I suspect it’ll be great in a year or so... --- Beer merged from original tick of Beeramisu on 27 Nov 2015 at 21:09 - Score: 7

Bottled, sampled at Darkness Day 2015 i believe. Dark black. Lots of coffee, and surprisingly dry given the name. I expected it to be sweeter, to stand up tot the coffee. medium palate, heavy roast, vanilla, and some alcohol.

Sample size glass from tap @ Pizza Port tap takover @ Beer Temple. Pitch black color. Beige head, quickly receding. Aroma’s: hard roast, ground coffee, light coconut, light sweet. Retronasal there’s ground coffee, hard roasted malts, coconut, sweetness, fruit, light sourness. Flavor is moderate sweet, with some light sourness from the roast (or coffee). Medium to full bodied. Long finish that’s hard roasted and moderate bitter. I don’t get the bourbon, or the barrel for that matter, perhaps too heavy on the coffee, but still nice.

Tap at Komachi. Nose of coffee, chocolate, light fruit. Great luscious chocolate flavor with just enough coffee and not too much. rich and very enjoyable.

Pizza Port Beeramisu imperial stout 7.2% on tap at Beer Komachi’s 1st Anniversary. Pitch black with a thin tan head. This smells heavenly, rich chocolate and coffee crumble. Medium bodied with a raspy carbonation. The flavor is a bit boozy for 7.2% but it gives deal pitted fruits, coffee, bitter chocolate and Graham biscuits. Yum, one of the nicer Pizza Port beers I’ve had. You do get some of the vanilla in the finish a nice mellow imperial stout that embraces you rather than challenges you. Just found out it is 11% which makes much more sense.

Bottle shared by Adam, thanks! Pours dark brown with a creamy brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has strong dark grains with a bit of vanilla, coffee and roasted malts supporting. Flavor has a decent amount of bourbon with dark grains, roasted malts, vanilla and a hint of coffee.
