12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, best before 7/24/2017. Pours very hazy/cloudy golden orange color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, pine, honey, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/tropical/fruity hops and moderate bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, pine, honey, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine/citrus peel/grassy/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, lemon/orange peel, pepper, pine, honey, toasted bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/fruity hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from lingering bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/sticky, and lightly resinous balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 7%. Overall this is a very nice NE IPA! All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/fruity hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. More bitter/drying than most of these kind of IPAs I’ve had; but still really juicy/dank on hops with balancing malts. Love the hop profile. A very enjoyable offering.
