Melvin IPA 7.5% Tap at Bakujun in appropriate glassware! I had no idea they did small IPA glasses. Lovely gold with a dank sweet fruity pine, it has a nice fairly full body with sweet malts balanced by bitter citrusy piney hops. This is a solid traditional take on an IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft @ Devil Craft Hamamatsucho. Pours amber, quite clear and with decent white frothy head. Now has some tropical hops, quite fruity and feels smooth. Taste displays less bitterness than I thought it would, still some hop powder burn and juicy overall. Drinked easy and dissapeared from my glass quickly.

I found this came short of a West coastt ipa as the hops showed odd citrus character that is hard to describe. The backbone wasn’t as dry as expected and bitterness was just so so. This was a weird beer.

Draught at Publick House, 11/14/17.
Clear, bronze-golden, large, white head showing very strong head retention.
Lightly juicy, tropical-tinted hop notes range from ripe nectarine and light mango to pineapple and dank, green, lush citrus. Immaculately clean with just the right amount of honey-like malts breaking through for balance. Almost a hint of kumquat on the very end; extremely fresh, green and aromatic with no alcohol or flaw.
More juicy, flavorful, yellow fruits in the mouth with a soft, nicely dry texture showing light honey and biscuit. Red grapefruit and light pine are certainly in the mix but provide no more resin than any other hop note, with juicy, fruity notes persisting to the finish and lingering nicely, accompanied by an engaging carbonation that helps spread balanced bitterness across the palate. Can definitely see why these guys have made a name for themselves. These are clean, immaculately-executed beers with a ton of all of the good stuff you want from hops.

Can. Amber with a dense white head. Aroma is wafty rather than rambunctious, with peach, grapefruit, pineapple, bread crusts. Smooth texture with lowish carbonation. Sweet with bread, peach, grapefruit. Bitterness really creeps up after a while along with s pine and some herbal notes at the end. A satisfying mix of toppy and tenor register hops.

Can from Bottle Baron. Hazy golden body with tiny flecks floating beneath a thin off-white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of grain, potato and dried orange peel. Flavour of pine, stainless steel and herbs. Medium body with a smooth texture. Light fizz. There’s a savoury edge to this, which I’m not so keen on.
