Can at home. Pours very deep brown with a huge beige head. Nose is creamy chocolate, a touch of vanilla and caramel. Taste is sweet notes of chocolate again, some cocoa, and the salted caramel joins in the finish that ends pretty abruptly. Light, super creamy body, soft carbonation. Tasty, but a bit too thin and one dimensional.

Old rating from 2017 - 330ml bottle. Pours black with a beige head. Aromas & tastes of salted caramel, chocolate, toffee & roasted malt. Medium body. Dry smooth finish 19-02-2022 - From the cask at Newshouse, Nottingham. As above. Excellent

Bottle at home. Aroma is whipped cream, cocoa, lactose, malt, powdery milk chocolate, lots of caramel, vanilla, fudge. Flavour is sweet. Remarkable body considering the low abv, masterfully brewed. Great balance and drinkability, quite amazing dessert beer. 2016-12-10 from cask at In De Wildeman as part of the "Real Ale Days". Actually a lot less impressive than the bottled version, has a weaker body, less refined. No, bottled is much better.

Аромат очень ореховый, ощущается сладкая карамельная паста, нотки шоколада и кофе, сладость от пирога и сахара. Цвет темный, без просветов, пенка на уровне, хорошая. Вкус питкий и слегка водянистый, текстура средняя по плотности и немного странная из-за ореховости. При глотке много солода и нотки шоколада, кислинка присутствует. Ощущается также карамель и собственно сама лактоза. Но в целом жиденько.

Tap at ’t Uiltje, Haarlem: Opaque almost black colored brew with an dry bitter taste with some sweetness. Hints of chocolate, caramel and roasted malts.

Draught@Panema, Helsinki. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is coffee, some toasted notes, mild roast as well as some caramel and toffee. Flavour is grainy, chocolaty, some lactose, mild toasted and roasted notes. Nicely fry finish.

From recently unearthed notes, drank March 2019. On tap at The Rusty Bucket, Eltham. Black pour with a tan head. Coffee, milk chocolate & raisin aromas. Flavours of coffee, milk chocolate, lactose, salted caramel, cocoa. Sweet malty finish.

0,33l from can bought at a Waitrose in London. BB 29.03.2023. Black color, small colored head. Smells earthy, Licorice, bit smokey, toffee, nutty. Nice smell. Light body, soft carbonation. Tastes earthy, toffee, light sweetness, bit smokey, bit peppery, nutty, some caramel, some vanilla. Finishes lightly sweet with notes of toffee, caramel and some vanilla. Pretty good one, quite a lot going on, a tad sweet and a tad too pastry, but overall good.
