From tap at BeerTemple, Amsterdam. Aroma is potent Bourbon with vanilla, oak, roasted malt, chocolate, and fruity notes. Full body. Sweet flavour with a mild roasty bitterness. Started out a bit tartish but other flavours took over down the road. Overall very lovely Bourbon BA Stout.

Bottle shared in HW - picked up from Master of the Malts. Pours black-brown with a foamy, beige head. Medium to big sweet flavour but not cloying, some layered chocolate, subtle cinnamon, well roasted malts, baking cocoa, raisins, oily coffee. Full bodied, lightly chewy, with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, come sugary black coffee, earth, ashy roast, rocky road fudge. Great beer.

Tasting at Chez Cloin. Thanks to LKS. Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Smooth palate, fairly dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, a little dark chocolate malt cream and dark chocolate fudge. Mild spice in the mid. Modest ripe fruits go well with the dark malts. Smooth milky bar finish. Very pleasant.
