Lively and smooth sour, lots of carbonation, tons of passion fruit on the nose, tart and dry feel.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled in 6/2016. Pours slightly hazy medium golden yellow color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a spotty lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of huge tart/sour passion fruit, papaya, guava, mango, melon, grapefruit, lemon, lime, green apple, white wine, hay, straw, pepper, leather, musty funk, wheat, cracker, apple cider vinegar, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, passion fruit, and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge tart/sour passion fruit, papaya, guava, mango, melon, grapefruit, lemon, lime, green apple, white wine, hay, straw, pepper, leather, musty funk, wheat, cracker, apple cider vinegar, and yeast earthiness. Moderate fruity/lactic sourness and light yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of sour passion fruit, papaya, guava, mango, melon, grapefruit, lemon, lime, green apple, white wine, hay, straw, pepper, leather, musty funk, wheat, cracker, apple cider vinegar, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, passion fruit, and moderate pale malt flavors; with a nice malt/sourness balance; lightly puckering but not astringent after the finish. Moderate dryness from lactic acidity, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and and body; with a very smooth, acidic, fairly grainy/creamy, and lightly tannic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6.5%. Overall this is an incredible fruited sour ale! All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, passion fruit, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink, despite the strong lactic acidity/sourness and increasing dryness. Lots of Brett and Lacto funk, fairly vinegary but not overwhelming on it. A highly enjoyable offering.
