.33L bottle poured, brought back from Amsterdam. Thanks! Dark cola brown pour,active carb tan foam head. Dark fruit, bold flavor, some bran grains. Barely a sour tone to this. Somewhat sweet chocolate notes. Forgot this was at quad strength. Late lingering raisin note. Really fun and unique brew.

Aus der Flasche (bbe 31.10.2025) im 2024-03 getrunken. Dieses dunkelbraune Starkbier zeigt nicht genau was es sein will. Quadrupel oder Porter? Es hat ein deutliches Malzaroma wie ein Quardruple aber auch ein leichte Kaffeearoma von Röstaromen eines Porters. Alles zusammen wirkt aber irgendwie nicht gut balanciert. Dazu hat es mit seinen +10% eine recht leichten Körper. Kein schlechtes Bier, aber auch kein Gutes.

Bottle, 10,7%. Fruity aroma, roasted coffee. Sweet and jammy malt note. Almost black colour. Red shine, seems clear. Good stable creamy light brown head. The flavour is sweet, jammy and roasted. Mild bitterness in the finish, nutty with malt syrup notes. Creamy and prickly mouthfeel.

Deep ruby brown colour, small creamy tan haed, mostly diminishing, good lacing. Aroma roasted malt, liquorice, liquorice root, brown sugar, coffee, cardemom. Smooth taste, light heavy sweet, light roast bitterness, roasted malts, liquorice, brown sugar, alcohol notes, coffee, herbal notes. Full-bodied, sticky texture, soft carbonation, rather short malty bittersweet aftertaste, sugary, chocolate and coffee, bit boozy, well-balanced, tasty, very nice.

Dark brown, almost black, beige creamy foam. Creamy mouthfeel. Nose of roasted malts, raisins, plums. Taste is roasty, sweet, some bourbon, raisins. Nice!

Bottle from PotjeBier, thanks! Almost black. Malt, roast laurel and hints of cardemom and vanilla in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor, Full bodied, with laurel. Alcoholic, cardemom and hints of vanilla and bourbon. Raisin, interesting.

On tap at De Proefzaak. A very dark brown beer with a small tan head. Aroma of liqourice, dark moderate roasted malt, some herbs. Taste of liqourice, dark moderate roasted malt, coffee.

All the stuff that makes a porter good is present. The spices and licorice root work nicely. A very tasty beverage.
