Sample, thanks to Grumbo! Pours clear gold, strong solvent coming through on the nose, sweet syrup. Taste is super sweet, sharp alcohol, solvent notes, but cradling all this is some pleasantly sweet perry fruit with soft underlying woody notes. Gentle carbonation. Decent once it settles on the palate.

Bottle sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Golden colour, no head and aroma of light pear. Taste is sweetish, syrupy, pear flesh, with a formic note, solventy hints and some caramel. Syrupy mouthfeel, medium bodied, medium carbonation, medium-sweet finish. Quite OK

19/9/2019. Bottle from Crumpton Hill Farm Shop, Herefordshire. Pours clear golden with a very small bubbly white head. Aroma of sweet pears, light caramel, sulphur and slight funky woody notes. Medium plus sweetness and very light tartness. Moderate body, oily texture, soft to flat carbonation. Light tangy, very sweet finish with a bit of wet cardboard.
