Bottle at Quinns, Camden Town, London
Cloudy light blond color; creamy head. Light malt aroma, simple. Good malt flavor, smooth mouthfeel, a touch of raw cereals, good bitterness. Very good Kellerbier style.

Getrunken beim 2. BTO-Treffen. Test vom 9.1.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,11,11,11,12,11 - 11,15

500ml bottle from Bacchanalia, Cambridge. Hazy pale gold with lasting white head. A little bit more spritzey than the usual lager. Tingly, tangy hoppy finish. Bit of creaminess, good softness in mouth. I really like it, hops are excellent. One of my favourite pilsners. Great stuff.

(screw cap bottle, best-before-date: March 2006) I would have not rated this one if it wasn´t still that fresh. Hazy, pale golden colour with a fluffy and quite persistent foamy white head, leaving some lace. Fresh and bitter, herbal hoppy aroma with grassy edges and a delicate touch of citrus fruits. Moderately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a crispy carbonation. Soft malty base with spicy herbal notes; dry herbal, slightly grassy hoppy finish with a delicate, aromatic bitterness. Unbelievable that it aged so well. It surely needs a re-rate, hopefully next summer, but this “old” sample tasted still damn fresh.

Bottle (excavated by MoritzF): Hazy, big fluffy white head, slowly diminishing, straw golden; distinctive aromatic hoppy nose mixed with sweet aromas in the background; moderate to strong bitter flavour, light bodied; lingering aromatic hoppy finish, supported by sweet pale malt. A very pleasant, hop accented brew..................
