Clear pale golden colour, large, dense ecru-ish white head; aroma of citric and balsamic acidy, lemon zesty, some unripe fruity (grape, mainly), barnyard and earthy notes; taste of lemony, acetic acidy, unripe grape, some bread crusty and yeasty notes; good one

Can 35,5 cl. Pours a clear golden with a white head. Dry, lactic tartness in the nose. Medium body, super dry and super lactic tart. Whatever sweetness there may have been in this Tripel it's gone, gone, gone - and the same goes for whatever hops. Not exactly bad I gues, just incredibly one-dimensional. 180424

Can. A cloudy yellow beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of lemons, funk, and malt. The flavor is sour with notes of lemons, funk, and malt, leading to a tart finish.

Single can from Binny's. Stuffy nose keeps me from getting much of a bouquet. I can just drag in a light impression of tart fruit, maybe berries. Golden color with a bit of brass, under a white head. I've not been crazy about Victory's Monkey series; I guess they're just not the Gold Monkeys. Decently tart taste, a bit of Belgian grain can be detected. Alcohol is not that up front, but that is a character of a tripel.

Victory Sour Monkey Tripel 9.5% Soft golden color with wispy light white foam. A butterscotch sour aroma, medium bodied with a dry finish. Very dry and very tart with loads of acidity and stone fruits. Nice stuff.

Can from Binny's, Chicago.
A: clear golden, small, white head.
A: lemon, mandarin, grape, aspirin.
T: sour grape, lemon & lime, some gooseberry.
F: tart finish, lemon acid, dusty-yeasty note.
P: medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation.
Feels dusty, doesn't really work.
