Beer with strong notes of alcool, we are not so far from a Belgian tripel, malty, sweet, some hop, not bad, 03.04.2017, Amstein, St-Légier, drinking it at Lausanne, Prélaz.

Drunk it with Unntap-budd@home = Bottle 0,33ltr: Clear golden colored Hellerbock on steroids, becaus high ABV. To much sweetness and some hints of caramel and booze.

# 3979; 12/2023. Fruity, honey, spicy, apricot jam, floral, slightly alcohol aroma. Clear gold body; off-white head. Malty, fruity, honey, spicy, peppery, dried apricot, alcohol warmth. Very good pale doppelbock, a little bit atypical (like a hybrid between bock and belgian ale). 0,66 l, bottle, Getränkemarkt, Reutlingen (Swabia, Germany).

Bottle. Golden color, clear, good white foam. Aroma: sweet, candy, malty, wine, strong, honey. Taste: sweet, candy, malt jam, alcoholic, bitter, definitely not for everyone.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein orangegoldenes bis bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit zarter Opaltrübung und merkbarer Viskosität. Sehr feine Perlage steigt sehr gemächlich nach oben. Dort wartet eine weiße, feinporige und gut haltbare Schaumkrone. Die Duftnoten wirken süßlich, kräftig getreidig und fruchtig mit Anklängen von reifem Steinobst. Ebenso vernimmt man eine wunderbare Honignote sowie eine zarte Nussaromatik. Der Antrunk kommt weich, ölig bis cremig und süßlich honigartig mit einer zarten Hopfennote im Hintergrund. Am Gaumen dominiert ein süßer, getreidiger, brotiger bis honigartiger Malzkörper. Fruchtige Noten von reifem Steinobst (Ringlotte, Marille, Zwetschge?), aber auch eine gewisse Nussaromatik gesellen sich dazu. Das alles gestaltet sich überaus harmonisch und dieser Doppelbock bereitet richtig Freude. Man mag es kaum sagen, aber trotz 9 % Alkohol wirkt dieses Bier nicht alkoholisch und es ergeben sich ein unglaubliches Mundgefühl sowie eine wahnsinnig gute Süffigkeit. Im Nachtrunk bauen die fruchtigen Noten langsam ab. Die getreidigen und honigartigen Malznoten bleiben sehr lange stehen. Hopfenherbe spielt bei diesem Bier praktisch keine Rolle. Mein Fazit: Wo Riegele draufsteht, ist auch Riegele drin! Einer der allerbesten Doppelböcke!

Bottled. Clear yellow with small white head. Aroma is herbal, floral and some mild bready tones. Flavour is bread, some herbal and mild floral tones with mild earthy elements. Herbal aftertaste.

Bottle picked up directly from Riegele Brewery, Augsburg, had this at home Sunday 11th December 2022 it's a very snowy day, we're cooking Beef in Stout, with a Celeriac Püree, listening to YardAct- The Overlord. Pours golden in colour excellent clarity, filmy white head. Decent fruitiness, malty but a little bit boozy, there is a nice background spiciness, nice softness in the mouth. A little bit sweet but this is really pretty decent and very drinkable considering the abv. Fruity and warming with a pleasant tang.
