Bottle sample at Vova’s Hoppy Beerthday tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks rayaron. Clear golden. Aroma of candies, malt, a bit of toffee. Sweet flavor, malty, candy-ish, with an alcohol note. Medium-bodied. Really candy-ish. Not my thing.

First time I see a golden doppelbock... Pale yellow color with a medium creamy head, disappearing. Smell is pilsner malts, grassy hops. Taste is sweetish, again grassy hops, and a medium bitterness. Not bad.

Bottle, picked up from the bottleshop at the Augsburg tap, on the train to Ulm 07/02/15. Clear light golden with a decent off white covering. Nose is pale malts, lemon, straw, caramel. Taste comprises citric peel, bitter orange, straw, bready malt, spent grain, caramel, light vanilla. Medium + body, fine carbonation, light booze streaks in the close. Ok drinkable number but lacks depth when the ABV is considered.

660ml bottle. Clear golden colour with average, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Sweetish grainy, strawy aroma with a touch of honey and egg undergoes some development while warming up and reaches a slightly fruity stage with hints of plum or prune. Taste is moderately sweet malty, slightly fruity, a touch of honey, hints of plum, pear, apple, honeydew melon, dry hoppy overtones, some malt spiciness. A late bloomer.

Bottle, 9.0%. Fruity and caramelly aroma, seems alcoholic, which it is. Clear shiny golden colour. Small stable white head. The flavour starts off with a sort of vegetable note. Not bad, just veggie. Then comes a caramelly malt note, a little dusty. Good alcohol level, never harsh. A good heller Doppelbock.
