Poured from a half litre bottle into lager glass. Thick head quickly faded into faint head, leaving minimal lacing on glass. Not the usual spiciness from a Christmas beer. Color is normal golden hue of lager beer. Light carbonation. tastes much like a normal pilsener to me (sampled with other European christmas beers). Nothing special here....

Bottle @ Bayern. Pours clear golden with a white head. Lots of grain and a touch of alcohol. Medium bodied. A bit of warmth. A strong clean Danish Guld-Øl. A style which will never be a favorite.

(Bottle, 0.5 l, at Kittys, 20111214) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grain and grass. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grain, grass, sweetness, fruitiness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was grainy and bitter. Good strong pils.

Bottle from Maruhn, Darmstadt
Blond color. Aroma of corn, cereals, arse, at first; then some hop and malt; eventually even a light crispy touch. The mouthfeel is just a bit bolder and rounder than a regular Lager, the flavor is quite similar, with just a bit more sweetness and less bitterness. Easy.

The bottle looks good as well as the beer in the glass. Starts hoppy and dry, strong, a bit sourish. Finish a bit metallically, modest spicy. Finish could be a bit more intense, but still quite good!
