Clear golden pour with a fluffy, but shortlived white head. Aroma is mainly malt and grain, a hint of herbs. Taste is malt, but more pronounced herbs, defintitely on the bitter sight. Not bad, not mindblowing.

Pours clear blonde. Small white head, medium to medium low stability. Scent is typical pilsner, crisp maltyness, refined noble hops. rather expressive lager yeast profile. Taste is medium intense. Crisp maltyness (white bread), refined noble hops, fairly bitter and dry, medium high carbonation over a medium thin body. Easy drinkable. Not really getting any off flavors or something out of style, so I do think it deserves a higher score than it currently has. Not an amazing pilsner though, just... Decent to good?

Most of the German beer that is sold everywhere in Germany is nothing special and Holsten is the liquid proof of that. The guys at the marketing department are doing a tremendous job because the beer is just pretty average.oily texture. high carbonation, pale yellow color and overwhelmingly boring bitterness.

Canned. Pours clear golden with no head. Pretty characterless pilsner: thin, watery and light. Huge meh.
