500ml flip-top bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Aug 22. Courtesy of Jeremy I do believe. Pours a deep hazed amber, good off-white head. Good strong caramel doppel action, some sticky toffee, rye bread and dried dark fruits with a solid, almost woody bitterness. A little harsh at times, but decent overall.

Bottle online from The Trembling Madness. Pours a slightly hazy copper colour with a medium sized foamy off white head. Aromas of dry dark fruits, brown bread, fruit cake, cherries, plums and caramel. Taste is similar, fairly sweet syrupy notes. Another reviewer mentioned stewed fruit which is another good description. Medium to full body, fairly low carbonation and smooth oily sticky mouthfeel. Well above average Doppelbock. Highly drinkable and could be dangerous. Go careful.

Birraland.it 08.04.22

Bottle from Westhill Service Station? Or perhaps HoTM. It pours clear deep mahogany brown with a dissipating khaki head. The aroma is earthy, woody, nut, toffee, Werther's original, dusty, dry leaves, brown bread and rivita. The taste is initially dry, bitter, toasty, bitter - sweet, earthy, sticky candied fruits, glace cherry, dried apricot, toffee, caramel, cola, cola cubes, chewy, toothy, boozey kick, tannin and spice with a drying, toasty finish. Medium+ body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Drinks way easier than I thought it would.
