Lecker schmecker Uwe Summer Ale. Fruchtig und erfrischend. Katapultiert dich in den Sommer – aber nicht ins Delirium.

Sweetish sticky grainy. Easy to drink, moderate bitter, fruity with a dry grainy back. Watery but sessionable. Easy to drink, refreshing with a nice grainy back.

330ml bottle. Murky, dark amber colour with average, frothy, slowly osteoporosing, minimally lacing, white head. Slightly grassy and fruity hoppy aroma, weak hints of mandarine, blood orange, widely disguised, even weaker, doughy background. Taste is sweet-ish, caramel malty, doughy, slightly citrusy fruity hoppy, a touch of mandarine, blood orange and grapefruit. Watery texture, smooth and soft palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Not really musty but quite sweet and doughy, nicely hopped but still far from crispy and refreshing - OK.

Dark amber with a frothy to creamy white head. Aroma full of peaches with hints of old tea boxes. Taste is sweet, almost sugary, with a light fruity tang. Medium bodied, a touch watery on the texture but overall good character for an alcohol-free. Quite sweet but drinkable.

Bottle from Metro, along with a homemade American style burger, medium rare. Dark amber with a hint of haze from sediment. Head is gone fast. Light grains and citrus/lemon nose, the flavor like almost all alcohol-free beers is grain heavy (touch of rye?). Bitterness is sufficient and not overpowering, but the hop flavor is a bit lacking. Nevertheless quite good for for an alcohol-free entrant. Definitely won't make me give up alcoholic beer as their labeling proposes, but great for the day after a bender ;-).
