3.7,.bottle.coming.from Amstein, serving me at night, happy after a busy day with the children. A farm ale brewed on the Belgian way, on the way a St-Feuillien grand cru but the St.Feuillien is better. This one is really smooth, malty, sweet, white grapes, 19.11.2024 at Epalinges.

Bottiglia. Al naso arrivano impressioni di fruttato e di vino bianco. L'intensità olfattiva è elevata e il modo in cui permane è sufficiente. Il mantello birroso superiore ha una buona tenuta. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il piano sottostante è di aspetto velato. Bollicine fini costituiscono la forma del perlage, con carbonazione persistente. Il colore è giallo dorato brillante. Il corpo è pieno. L'amaro è pronunciato. La forza gustativa è elevata e la permanenza è buona. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di birra beverina. Il retrogusto è intenso. Sul palato si affermano segni di miele, crosta di pane, frutta secca, spezie, resina, agrumi, pompelmo, pepe e zolfo.

Bottle from a local bottle shop. Aroma is candied orange, floral notes, perfume, and malt. Flavour is fairly sweet with a moderate bitterness. Body is medium, feels a bit sticky in the mouth. Perfumed aroma borders on being chemical, not a fan.

Bottle. Color: Lightly hazy golden, white head. Aroma: Citrus, subtle spicy, malty. Taste: Spicy and yeasty notes, citrus fruit (tangerine, lemon hints). Medium body, just above average carbonation. Light hoppy backbone. Dry-ish mouthfeel. Nice try, but not my kind of Saison. As with most beers of this brewery: Label / wrapped bottle is better than the beer itself...

Hazy dark blond colour with massive foaming head. Aroma has a vinous yeasty note. Flavour is really dry and yeasty at first. It sets.up for a real punch but in the end doesn't deliver. It's ok but has more potential.

Ein guter Schuss Sekt. Etwas Mandarine, nur ein Hauch von Orange und Melone. Hauptsächlich aber Grapefruit (auch etwas von der Schale - die ist zwar aromatisch, aber vor allem auch sehr bitter). Der erhöhte Alkoholgehalt spielt geschmacklich mit rein. Kommt auch mit ner ganz guten Substanz ums Eck - jedoch nicht zu schwer, bleibt schön süffig. Recht lebendige Kohlensäure. Insgesamt durchaus schmackhaft und gut trinkbar - für längeren oder öfteren Konsum mir aber dann doch zu viel zu bitter. Oder wie ein (nicht an hopfenbetone Craftbiere gewohnter) Kumpel dazu gesagt hat „Das Zeug zieht einem alle Löcher zusammen“. Gemeint war damit vermutlich das „Schweppes-Gesicht“.
