We've used lashings of Loral, a modern American hop, to give Galleon its unique character. There's bucket-loads of floral, citrus and delicious dark-fruit flavour in this crisp, refreshing lager. Dry-hopped for extra punch.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up at the Canary Wharf Waitrose. Pours totally clear yellow-gold, lightly effervescent, with a creamy, white head. Biscuits in the nose, some crunchy straw, pale grains, lemon peel. Light sweet flavour with some simple pale bread, more biscuity character, dry cereal, straw, vague citrus peel, very faint grassy bitterness, some floral notes. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. There's a hint of spicy pine in the finish, more bready biscuits, low bitterness, straw. Quite drinkable, although fairly basic overall, with rather restrained hop character. Still, enjoyable stuff.

Bottle from Waitrose as part of the Fullers & Friends pack. Light yellow, almost straw, clear. Quickly dissipating white head. Pleasant floral aroma with some light grass and lemon zest notes. Tastes quite messy with a harsh buttery note in the bittersweet flavour. Fairly astringent finish. High carbonation. Not the best of either of these breweries.

Bottle at home picked up from Canary whard Waitrose. A very pale coloured pour with a fading fine white head. Aroma is earthy light grains, dirty hay, light apple, straw. Flavour is composed of light grains, straw, cereal, flint, apple. Palate is light and thin, highish carbonation, lingering mineral. Not as good as the fourpure ISL

Bottle from 6 pack selection box, Waitrose, Finchley Road, London. A golden/yellow coloured pour with a thin white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, floral aroma. Tastes vaguely hoppy, floral, citrus and very thin. Not much happening here.
