RODENBACH is the unique & original “Flanders Red Ale”, recognised as a traditional local product. Mixed main fermentation and maturation in oak casks (“foeders”) give it the same sweet-sour flavour and complex fruitiness as wine.

Un olfactif au caractère de fruits rouges rappelant les cerises et les framboises assorti d’un léger boisé ainsi que de tons de malts aux accents de vanille. Une bonne mousse rocailleuse et effervescente recouvre le liquide rouge brunâtre et limpide. Le fruité domine l’entrée de bouche et va chercher des tons de cerises, de prunes et de framboises, s’accompagnant au passage d’un caramel assumé, le tout sur un caractère doucement acidulé. Bière d’entrée de gamme de cette brasserie avec moins de corps moins de complexité que ses grands crus.

Flesje geprobeerd met LiekevdV bij Uniek te Beek en Donk. Het is een roodbruin bier met een volle schuimkraag welke snel weg ebt. Het heeft een. Zurige geur. De smaak is zurig, fruitig en licht zoet en wat bitter in de afdronk.

Bottle, from City Hops. Pours murky reddish brown with very small frothy beige head, acidic aroma, high carbonation, woodsy sour taste with light funky aroma, somewhat thick body, long finish. Nice brew.

From the bottle. Red with a foamy but fleeting crown. Aroma of balsamico, cherries, and oak. Taste is sour, full of berries with sweeter honey undertones and woody flavors playing out in the background. Medium body with a prickly carbonation. Refreshing but nothing special.

28.12.2018 -- on tap at punk craft in moscow, 600 rub/l. pours a clear mahogany with a medium head. aroma of funk, prunes, leather, pepper. flavour of balsamico, cherries, slight oak. not too tart, not too funky, quite mild.
