Dark amber colour, frothy head that stays for a while. Aroma is intensive toffee, roasted malt, a bit of coriander. Light sweetness, light bitterness, a bit salty. Light body, soft carbonation, sticky texture. Good!

Tap, Butterhannes Goslar. Grapefruit and a pinch of salt in the aroma. Grapefruit and some tartness in the flavor, eased down with a light touch of caramel. Just a bit sweeter as the Gose Helles, nevertheless a nice beer.

17th Sep 2018; monthly beer share in Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury, usual five suspects in attendance. 500ml bottle brought by me, thanks me! Misty dull amber body, off-white head. Strange beer all round, expected it to be more sour, but it was more salty and spiced than sour or wild in nature, some maltiness/caramel also in the flavour and aroma. Different and almost interesting.

500ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Sep '18, thanks to Jeremy for bringing this from one of your many German trips. Pours hazy deep amber, off-white head. Aroma is lightly sweet, spicy. Taste is fairly light, not particularly sour, some soft caramelised malt, a little yeasty, some coriander, a little salty, more caramel, some distant orange notes. Ok, but not completely winning me over.
