Clausthaler presents yet another non-alcoholic beer innovation: Clausthaler Unfiltered. The pioneer’s latest innovation combines the craft beer technique of dry- hopping, where a special kind of savory hops is added to the brew after fermentation, with the historic German Zwickel tradition of unfiltered brewing. The result is a rich, naturally brew with crisp bitter notes, a touch of sweet malt, and a golden color.
Mit Liebe zum Detail meisterlich gebraut, entfaltet dieses hefetrübe Meisterbier ein vollmundiges Aroma, das seinesgleichen sucht. Nicht nur unter den Alkoholfreien. Unsere Braumeister bei Clausthaler setzen hierfür auf ein traditionelles Verfahren: Beim Kalthopfen wird dem abgekühlten Bier nach dem Brauvorgang Hopfen zugesetzt – so kann das Bier die empfindlichen Aromastoffe der Pflanze aufnehmen. Für einen einzigartigen Geschmack verwendet Clausthaler dabei den Cascade Edelhopfen, der mit seinen fruchtig-floralen Aromen und frischen Zitrusnoten auch unter Craft-Beer-Brauern beliebt ist.

33 cl bottle purchased at supermarket. As Claustaler Unfiltered. Hazy golden colour with a thin white head. Sweet grainy aroma with perfumed notes. Some citrus in the nose. Taste is light bitter. Light bodied. Dry and bitter finish grains and fruits. Not to bad for a low alcohol beer.

330ml bottle as Clausthaler Unfiltered. Pours slightly hazy gold with a decent-sized lasting white head. Aroma is citrusy hops, grass and malt, with some typical N/A notes breaking through. Taste is dry, grain, grass, hops, medium bitterness. Light bodied, but not heavily watery like most of the N/A beers I have tried.

Bottle from Waitrose, Frimley. Sweet citrus aroma. Medium goldd. Foamy white head. Light-medium bitter with a tangy citrus edge. Underlying soggy cardboard. Light bodied. Thin. Fizzy carbonation. Dry slightly astringent finish. Not too bad.

[33cl bottle from Waitrose, Bracknell as Clausthaler Unfiltered.] A hazy straw coloured pour with a fast fading white head; grainy aroma with a touch of lemon; crisp grainy body with a lemony taste; and a dryish finish. Rather good.

As Clausthaler Unfiltered. Pours foggy gold with a large white frothy head. Aroma: noble hops, malts. Light body. Taste: medium dry, clean. Cereals, noble hops. Light to medium spicy / herbal bitterness. Long hoppy aftertaste. Nice n/a beer. Would even gladly repeat it some time.

Bottle as Clausthaler Unfiltered Dry Hopped with Cascade Hops. Pours slightly hazy golden with whiteish head. Aroma and flavor are hoppy, grassy, metallic, vegetable, black tea, dry, harsh. Surprisingly not very watery. Overall: not good.

Botella 33 Cl en el Kraken 15.. 01..2019 (r72). Color amarillento velado con buena capa de espuma blanca persistente. Sabores maltosos y cereales húmedos bastante intensos con ligeros cítricos y herbaceos suaves. Cuerpo ligero fácil de beber, aguado, líquido. Sin mucho mas y con falta de alcohol. Normal.
