Clausthaler presents yet another non-alcoholic beer innovation: Clausthaler Unfiltered. The pioneer’s latest innovation combines the craft beer technique of dry- hopping, where a special kind of savory hops is added to the brew after fermentation, with the historic German Zwickel tradition of unfiltered brewing. The result is a rich, naturally brew with crisp bitter notes, a touch of sweet malt, and a golden color.
Mit Liebe zum Detail meisterlich gebraut, entfaltet dieses hefetrübe Meisterbier ein vollmundiges Aroma, das seinesgleichen sucht. Nicht nur unter den Alkoholfreien. Unsere Braumeister bei Clausthaler setzen hierfür auf ein traditionelles Verfahren: Beim Kalthopfen wird dem abgekühlten Bier nach dem Brauvorgang Hopfen zugesetzt – so kann das Bier die empfindlichen Aromastoffe der Pflanze aufnehmen. Für einen einzigartigen Geschmack verwendet Clausthaler dabei den Cascade Edelhopfen, der mit seinen fruchtig-floralen Aromen und frischen Zitrusnoten auch unter Craft-Beer-Brauern beliebt ist.

bottle from local Edeka, as Clausthaler Naturtrüb. Hazy amber golden, tall white head. Resiny-fruity hop aroma, quite promising. Flavourwise not as intensive as the nose, still quite nice for an alcohol-free beer. Malty base, yeatsy hints and a nice, reins-yfruity hoppy touch.

Bitterer, fein würziger Beginn. Geringe Hopfigkeit, stark getreidig, der Alkoholentzug ist deutlich erkannbar, dabei aber weder süß noch unangenehm bitter, rund. Süffig, zum Ende bitterer, wenig hopfig. Original review text: Angenehm hopfiger Geruch. Im Antrunk kommt dieser Hopfen deutlich hervor, so dass die erkennbare alkoholfreie Bitterkeit zumindest zum Anfang gut verdeckt wird. Zum Ende dann wieder trocken getreidig bitter. 9/9/7/5/6/7

0.33 l bottle from 'trinkgut' (Düsseldorf) as 'Clausthaler Naturtrüb', best before March 2019. Hazy, orangeish amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish, slightly fruity aroma of wort, orange and a touch of pine. Quite sweet, slightly fruity taste of wort, orange and traces of pine, followed by a short, slightly bitter, a little dry finish. Medium body, slightly creamy and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice NA beer!

33 cl bottle served in red wine glass. It pours cloudy golden to amber, with nicely lacing, long-lasting, off-white head. Aroma is biscuit, pine needle, vanilla, custard, lemon peel, white pepper. Taste is slightly pungent, a bit watery, fresh and quite bitter. Long after-taste with more pine notes. Quite good for a low-alcohol brew, if you ask me.

Bottle shared at Lido Atputas. As Clausthaler Unfiltered Dry-Hopped Cascade. Hazy pale golden colour, white head. Aroma is lemony, hoppy, malty, hint of wort. Flavour is likewise, nice hoppy and lemony, just light bready, thin aluminium finish. Light bodied. Quite good actually.
