Flasche (50 cl) vom Edeka am Prager Platz, Berlin-Wilmersdorf. - Goldbraun, klar. - In der Nase weiche tropische Frucht, milde Orangenschale, etwas Harz. - Im Antrunk solider IPA-typischer Hopfen: tropische Frucht, Orangenschale, Mandarine, streng und etwas schmalspurig eingerahmt von kerniger gerstenmalziger Härte mit milden Karamel- und Toastnoten. Kräftige harzige Herbe. Mild rezent, etwas hart im Mund (mineralische Härte?). Gut hopfenherber, leicht trockener Abgang. - Interessante Kombination aus nüchterner, etwas pedantischer IPA-Hopfung und der soliden Malzgrundlage eines bayerischen Märzenbieres. "A Bavarian take on the American-style IPA“ - das trifft es. Muß nicht jedem schmecken, aber mir schmeckt’s.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear amber with an off-white head. Hardly any hops at all in the nose, more typical flowery hops aroma - as is typical for any German beer. Medium body, sweet caramellish, bitter finish - but with no aromatics. As an IPA this is a joke. 030417

Bottle from Ales by Mail. Pours clear golden orange with a thin white head. Aromas of grapefruit, mango. Crisp taste, orange and light caramel malts. Crisp finish, clean and refreshing, like an IPL I guess.

Amsterdam Pubcrawl 2016, @Brecht, van fles, 0.5L. Friday Über IPA. licht caramel/bruin met licht kaki kraag. aroma van hop, gras, stro/hooi. Smaken zijn redelijk hoppig, stro, hooi, redelijk bitter, zacht, matig zoet, redelijke co2, goede grassig frisse afdronk.

50cl Bottle at Brecht. Hazy amber orange colour, off-white head. Aroma of orange, leaves, resin, malts. Flavour follows, quite sweet, lots of orange, leaves, decent bitterness. OK, but not what I particularly like.

Bottle at Brecht during pubcrawl. Hazy brownish amber with offwhite head. Oranges, resin, sweet malts, biscuits, caramel. Over medium sweet, medium bitter. Medium body, big malty feel, resiny too.
