50 cL handbottle, courtesy of kappledav123. Pours dark brown with a small head. Aroma is roasted and dark breadish with a light chocolate note. Roasted malty, chocolate and slight breadish flavoured. Bitter and dark roasted malty flavoured. Bitter and slight acidic flavoured.

Handbottle 50 cl. Courtesy of kappeldav123. Pours a clear reddish brown with a small off-white head. Sweet aroma of roasted malts and coffee. Medium body, hard roasted malts and chocolate, a little vanilla. Malt bitter finish. Delicious. 231109

Draught @ Gasthaus & Gosebrauerei Bayerischer Bahnhof, Bayrischer Platz 1, 04103 Leipzig, Sachsen, Germany.Clear dark brown color with a average to large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, coffee dusty. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and burnt roasted - coffee bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft. [20090702]

(6/22/08) Draught at Gasthaus & Gosebrauerei Bayerischer Bahnhof in Leipzig. Black color with a medium beige-light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, some coffee and vanilla hints. Sweet and roasty flavor with some caramel and some coffee. Medium-bodied.

On tap at the brewery. The aroma is very malty, smoky. The flavor is malty, quite monotonous. The beer is somehow boring.

Dass der "Bayerische Bahnhof" im Osten ist und nicht in Bayern, merkt man beim brillianten Schwarzbier. Bereits der Antrunk ist sehr dunkel malzig, dennoch gut abgestimmt und nicht zu intensiv. Schnell wird das Bier malziger, dabei bleibt eine leckere röstmalzigkeit natürlch nicht aus. Schon im Mittelteil ist dieses Aroma ausreichend vertreten und bleibt konstant auf perfektem Level. Konstant ist nun auch die Würze, die aber leider im Nachgeschmack etwas zu schnell abflacht. Zwar bleibt sie bestehen, dies geschieht aber auf viel zu niedrigem Level. Auffallend hierbei ist, dass der Ton erst kurz sehr stark wird, bevor er ins wässrig-säuerliche abdriftet. Dennoch: Herrlich! Test vom 7.10.2007, Gebinde: Fass Noten: 14,12,13,14,-,13 - 13,10

Medium beige creamy head with larger bubbles. Opaque black body goes dark hazy brown at the edges. Light peppery, caramelly aroma. Taste is light, clean, roasty malts with burnt notes. Some caramel. Smooth, velvety. Dry aftertaste. Very nice. (0.3l on tap.)

Sampled from 2L growler Strong bitterhop, toffee and bitter coffee aroma. Murky brown, big brown head. Powerfull bitterhop start, a fitting charcoal middle (Heizer means stoker). Body is medium, dry bitterhop and coffee aftertaste.

Hazy, very dark ruby with rich head. Roasty with notes of coffee. Medium bodied and rather dry. Quick mlat flavour and a very roasty finish.
