Sample at the Beer ’N Rock Band tasting on 08/27/2010: Bottle courtesy of a traveling colleague. The beer is a clear orange color with a minimal white head that disappears quickly. Spotty lacing. Grainy malt and hops in the nose. Light body with flavors of herbal hops and sweet malt. The finish is mildly hoppy with a short malt aftertaste. More or less average all around.

A golden amber pils with a thin white head. In aroma, a fruity malt with metallic hops. In mouth, a surprisingly good attack of crisp malt and slightly pinhey hops, quite nice, and lingering. Very pleased. Bought at LCBO.

Pilsner: Golden colour. In 2008, i found this very dry, but today it is quite sweet w bland macro grainy aromas and flavours. Too much caramel and almost none of that great Germanic hoppiness I enjoyed four years ago.

Organic Pilsner: Quite pale. Crisp, with moderate hoppiness and a slightly bready hop note. The balance is nice, but the flavours are quite light. It’s only a small step up from the Organic Lager. 5-1-6-3-12 = 2.7
