This is our new seasonal Double IPA brewed right here at the Pub. This is a Double IPA that is packed with citra hops to create a pleasant citrus fruit hop aroma and refreshing tropical fruit hop bite. We used only 3 malt varieties in this recipe to keep the malt character simple and clean so that the hops would take the center stage in this brew. Most of the hops where added late in the boil and during the whirlpool to give this beer a very big aromatic character which creates a Double IPA that is surprisingly easy to drink.

Brewdog Soho, keg. Very hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light, fairly dry and has decent fine carbonation. Thin malts, very mild sweetness. Thin pine and bitter citrus. Tangy bitterness. Light dry finish. Tangy bitter linger. I really appreciate BD hauling this shit over from the US, but was there nowt better than this? Fucken hell! Gissa job, I'll be your taster!

Keg at BD Soho, 26/03/18. Lightly hazed golden amber with a decent egg shell white head that dissipates over time to a swirl. Nose is bitter orange, ripe peach, toasted grains, straw, faint grapefruit zest, earthy hop fumes. Taste comprises orange pith, light grapefruit layer, hint of pine, bitter citric shreds, toasted malts, grassy, caramel, light booze tickle evident. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, drying close peppered with earthy hop bitterness. Passable old skool kind of a DIPA ... nothing I'd rush back for but it drinks fairly easily.

Keg at BD Soho. It lives cloudy orange - amber with a medium head. The aroma is soft, sweet, fresh orange, tangerine, marmalade, orange muffin, brioche and orange chewits. The taste is dry, bitter, plenty of orange marmalade, tangerine, kumquat, pithy, zesty, brioche, orange muffin, bit grass, light herbal accents and a kick of alcohol with a drying finish. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. Nice orange vibes.
