With a cast iron backbone of malt flavours, this red lager is something pretty special. Amber-red in colour as if freshly plucked from the furnace, there’s a hint of bitterness that settles just below its naturally smooth sweetness.

We combined a finely-tuned blend of pale, munich, toasted and crystal malts with Noble and American Mount Hood hops for this one. It’s even been cold fermented for a clean crisp finish that’s sure to satisfy and refresh after a long day at the coalface.

Clear red beer, thin head. Fruity aroma. Taste is toasty malt, bitter and dry with just a hint of fruit and caramel. Not bad but there's not a lot to it.

Bottle courtesy of Geraint and Helen, cheers you two. Consumed at home Wednesday 31st October 2018 with a Fish Finger Sandwiche and homemade chips for tea, I love dirty teas sometimes Pours reddy amber, clear and with a small off white head, light toffee touches with a good citrussy streak, lovely beer, really enjoying this and whilst I liked the muddled Mistletoe Mafia from Brewdog this is certainly not muddled. Good stuff. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

Bottle. Clear amber/brown body with a thin beige head that holds well. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of wood, stewed tea and nuts. Flavour of toffee, red berries and strong tea. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. I really enjoyed this - there’s a lot of flavour for the ABV. It reminded me of Fyne Ales’ Highlander.

Thin creamy beige head sat on a still, mahogany coloured body - Looks great! Sweet berry, malt, honey, syrup & demerara aromas. Medium bodied, creamy in the mouth with sparkling back. Treacle, parkin, toffee, syrup & slightly smoked tastes.
